Video editing program

What's a decent easy to use video editing program just for throwing together some clips and maybe sticking in some music you know... nothing insane just making simple videos from digital camera clips.

My moviemaker is broke and I can't figure it out.. plus I'm sure there's better anyways

Doesn't matter if it's free.. arrr arr you know what I mean.

If money is no problem I'd recommend what I use - Sony Vegas (either 8.0 or 9.0)

It's not too hard to learn to use, but you can still do some good profesinal stuff with it. And it pretty much does what you said you want. Just watch a few online tutorials and you'll be editing in no time.

Hope this helps

video editing tools.

as mentioned above vegas

also check these out (most have trials)

Adobe Premiere Elements
Adobe Premiere Pro
Pinnacle Studio (i do not recommend this POS)
virtualdub
If you have a mac Final Cut

I personally use Premiere Elements and find it's got just about everything i need for the odd edit.

Windows Live Movie Maker? Adobe Premiere Elements is good too, but you have to pay for that. And Cyberlink PowerDirector is alright too, and supports CUDA and ATI Stream to speed things up.
