PC wont work after sleep mode?

Ok so before i went jogging i put my PC into sleep mode for the first time ever (was curious). So as soon as i pressed Sleep the screen went black. So i tried waking it up but it wouldnt. So i restarted, nothing. The screen just stays black. All fans are working but the HDD LED stopped working. I tried pulling the plug and everything. The screen just stays black no matter what i do. Is my HDD dead? If Vista breaks this easily then this is some major BS. The monitor is working, tried restarting that several times also. I shut it down every way possible. Help pls?
Cant even get to BIOS.
OS is Vista Home Premium 32bit.

I think you're probably ok- have a read through this thread by sswilson- jumper locations are in you manual.

Theres a multitude of problems that can prevent a computer from waking up from sleep. Here are a few fixes ive seen: new drivers (acpi, and oddly enough video drivers) new bios revision, cant think of any more off the top of my head. You may also try using standby and hibernate, if one works, just disable the other one.

Odd- not sure why that other link was my profile (shamless self promotion perhaps? :-)

I cant even get to bios. The monitor just acts as my PC was in whatever the state is called that comes after screensaver.

this might seem like a stupid question but I just have to ask it, is the monitor turned on? I ask this because on some systems when they go to sleep they automatically turn off the monitor
