Default Free big file webhosting

Anyone know a free uploading/hosting site that can handle movies/tv shows but i can password protect connect it

Nothing free that I can think of. DropBox only handles 2 gig for free and up to 3 if you refer lots of people. Is there any other alternative? what are you up to, maybe we can help.

That would actually be enough really, i want to be able to share a recommend a movie for my girlfriend to watch and if it supports avi files it would be perfect

Rapidshare can password-protect uploads up to 200 MB so it might be able to handle a TV show if you compress it.

YouSendIt - Send large files - transfer delivery - FTP Replacement

Use a multi rar archive if you need more than 2gb

I think burning dvds will be easier and faster.

Assuming you have the upload speed of 50 KB/s (my max average upload speed on Shawcable):
- uploading a 650MB file will take 3.6 hours
- uploading 4.5GB (1 DVD) will take 25 hours.

Or get your gf to your place and watch it together.
