Default DX11 on Vista?

Does anybody know whether Microsoft will release DX11 for Windows Vista once Windows 7 has been released? I personally hope they do because I don't want to pay for a new OS, since I got a new computer and Vista just eight months ago! Thanks Guys

Me too! I didn't pre-order 7, so I don't want to have to pay hundreds for a new OS! This is the reason I like Apple sometimes, I don't have to pay hundreds to upgrade to a new OS! Especially since I got a new OS eight months ago! Anyone else have any details?

I would say no. XP never got DX10, forcing people to move to Vista. Why would they allow DX11 on Vista when they want to push Windows 7?

And well you need a new video card anyways, plus it's not like any game is going to use it for the next year, or more. Maybe some tech demos, or some game that does a half-ass implementation of it. Just look at how few DX10 games there are after all this time. And how many of those DX10 games actually look significantly different than the DX9 version?

To be honest, most Vista users should upgrade to Windows 7. It's more of what Vista should of been; kind of like the Windows ME to XP days.

XP came from it's successor 2000 & Both are NT versions of Windows. ME was a joke to the Win9x family It should of been a Cancelled operating system like Neptune & Odyssy.

Yeah, I didn't buy Vista Home Premium, it came with my XPS 630i. The main thing is, I'm not willing to spend that much money on an operating system! It's completely stupid! And I agree with you guys!

I just looked through Google. It seems like DX11 will be coming to Vista, but nothing is official, yet!

The legal way you can continue to use Windows operating systems is download normal Windows Vista / Windows 7 with 30 day activation & up the time to 120 days. After that you have to reinstall or put in the real key.

I been doing this for the longest time. I always reinstall every 60 to 100 days anyways

As far as I understand it will have DX11. I haven't heard anything official yet though.
