Default can I RMA a video card that I bouht from here?

I bought a BFG gtx 260 maxcore off someone from the site here a few months back and the person I bought the video card from names slips my mind. Can I RMA the Card because it fails to work any longer, the fan spins but the motherboard doesn't recognise that it is plugged in, what I thnk might have happened is that my last motherboard went and it is possible that it took out my vid card also :( .
so is it possible to RMA this card and how would I go about it or what are my options?

I don't believe BFG has a transferable warranty. So you would need the original owner's invoice and have them send it in if it was registered to them. If it was not registered, you might be able to get away with it. I'd phone them and say you bought the card but don't have the invoice anymore, and see what they have to say. Check their website for warranty and policy info, too.

To be honest, I assume that anything I buy secondhand does not have a warranty, and factor that into my purchasing decision.

Edit: and if you bought the card on here, and did an iTrader rating, you should be able to narrow it down to who you got it from.

Either get the person to send you a receipt/address and say it was a parent or something or send the card to them so they can send it off.

I'd go to your iTrader page: Hardware Canucks

Sort feedback by seller. See if you can't remember who sold you the card from the list of names.

Edit: you could also tell them it was a gift from a relative, and you can't get the invoice.

Last time I RMA'd something from BFG they simply asked me how old it was. I told them and that was all that was needed. It wasn't my card that I RMA'd.

BFG is pretty good in my experiences.

BFG have prob the best service out there, few weeks ago we have return a 8800 Ultra and last week our custumer receive a GTX 285. Wich IMO is a pretty good upgrade.

Ask for more.
