Once I have cashflow, I'll be buying Windows 7, or a TechNet subscription immediately. I love me my Windows 7.

Well it's nice to see Microsoft acknowledge the hard work of it's beta testers. It's thanks in part to these individuals that Win7 seems to be on track for a very strong initial release. I've got my Win7 home premium pre-ordered, I'm a bit concerned that I'll lose some of the features I've come to enjoy with the Ultimate RC that I'm using now but I just couldn't justify the cash for Ultimate at the moment.

You won't miss anything, unless you need to connect to a domain server. Ultimate really isn't anything special this time around other than some corporate features and the name. Stuff like bitlocker and applocker, booting from VHD, and etc is all it really has over Home Premium and Professional.

Besides, if it really bothers you, you can do the anytime upgrade for around $130-$150 in the future.

You know the only real feature in the Ultimate I'm going to miss....and this is cheesy...is the Canada themed changing background. Isn't that sad...lol. But I just love that background.
