Default New Nvidia 186.18 WHQL drivers

New drivers from Nvidia out today with updated PhysX version and Ambient Occlusion page added to the control panel, also updates support for Cuda 2.2.

No verdict yet in regards to folding but so far it's chugging along just fine on the 511's.

You mean the ones mentioned here? NVIDIA Unleashes 186.18 WHQL Drivers | Hardware Canucks

Good to hear there's no problems on the folding side.

I was just giving you the gears. I'm really fond of the revised news section, the boys are doing a great job. I'm sure that's very time consuming.

Time to give these a try if they're folding fine.

Crappers... I just installed the 185.85 on three rigs in the last two days!

Must say though.... (knocks on wood)... no issues just yet!

I rolled back to 185 because Ghostbusters kept crashing. At first I thought it was because I enabled that new feature Ambient Occlusion so I turned it off and still got random crashes where the driver just died and would not recover w/o a reboot. I thought it was probably just a game specific issue so I figured I'd wait and see how my folding went overnight. My driver stopped responding and recovered 8 times overnight so I admitted defeat with the new drivers and rolled back. Everythings going swimingly now both with Ghostbusters and folding working w/o a hitch. Better luck next time Nvidia.

I installed them last night, no issue on my 275gtx but I also run a pci 6200 that drives my 5"tft incase and it didnt like them at all. Ended up having to roll back the 6200s driver. Running 7RC.

Let us know how it goes, I'm curious as my rig is similar to yours!

Pretty well rendered my GTX 260 C216 inopperable in L4D and gave me issues in BF2142, im back to using the 182.50 drivers and all issues have dissapeared, had problems with the release before this one as well, im just going to stick with these ones for now.
