New catalyst drivers for ati cards released today. Gonna install them and see how they run on win7 x64

Any one have found a list of what the new driver fix? For now I see the HDMI sound driver wich are new and working realy smoothy ( i like )but for the rest nothing...was it needed to make a new bundle driver instead of an update?

ok this is pissing me off now lol, it says driver inf file not found when i try to install it. The only info i find on this is for a leaked version that says you have to dl a "patch" for windows 7, yet the files it says you replace with the patch files arent even there.

Knowing ATI's drivers, it will fix some things and break others. I was using a dual HD 4870X2 setup for some upcoming PSU reviews. 9.2 to 9.4 worked fine. 9.5 wouldn't allow itself to be installed. That may be fixed now but I am not willing to check.

Basically, I am done with ATI's drivers in our GPU reviews as well. We will update the ATI drivers in the reviews when Nvidia releases a new driver unless ATI makes some claims of performance increases in games we test. Simple as that. This whole mentality of releasing monthly driver updates which do nothing but fix problems created by the last driver release is getting really, really old now.

Installed fine over my previous 9.5 install (or maybe it was the Win7 WHQL set). Running the RC x64. No issues to speak of.

ahh i decided to uninstall and run driver sweeper for the first time for a clean install, go me. Something tells me the drivers for win7 are still the same and its just ccc thats updated.

I hope they fixed the random crashing in games and/or videos that 9.5 created...

9.6 mostly improves crossfire performance, if i understood well.
