Default Remote Viewing Software
Hey everyone,

I want to know if there is software out there that will allow me to log into my PC's at home while I'm away from them ( I know there is but I want to know if anyones had experience with any given kind).

Basically, and this is how you know you're an addict, I want to periodically monitor my computers as they Fold away to make sure everything is going well lol!

So, any thoughts?

I know Window's Remote Desktop Connection can handle that.

remote desktop works rather well. Accept for GPU folding clients.

On my "farm" i have fahmon monitoring the machines who are GPU folding and "remote" into that one. The problem being that GPU folding client crashes when you open the terminal services session. THis has a lot to do with the fact that when you use windows remote desktop and look at the video card properties NULL appears for the video-card type. It's a known FAH bug i read about on their forums, and experienced it myself.

Ultra VNC is supposed to work well for this and is free.

I second LogMeIn, it's free and works great. We are in the process of getting all our clients setup with LogMeIn.

RealVNC is another.

Basically all non-MS solutions will be using some form of VNC.
