Windows 7 on new gaming rig

Just so you know, ISO is an image so you cannot burn it as a data and if you did it will not work. Make sure to burn it as an image.

I have been running Win 7 in all my rigs and all I can say is it is a good OS. I never had a problem running any games, just finished Turning Point and playing Cryostasis right now. I am a little partial to 64-bit but ran into trouble with my laser printer driver so running 32-bit right now until I can chuck this printer away. Nonetheless, it is still good.

It fits on one DVD. Download power ISO to make it bootable. Do a clean install - it's worth it. Mass Effect works excellently on mine: win7 ultimate 64 bit. I just grabbed my fav game file and put it on a flash drive, then did the clean install, then re-installed Mass effect, then added in my fav game file, and it worked perfect. I'm buying win7 as soon as it comes out, I like it that much.

Hey punk zappa, does cryostasis work with ATI card well? I heard it does not? I hope it does, and then I will get that too!

I haven't had any issues with games on Win7 , much smoother than vista, alt-tabbing in out of games is the best I've ever seen. I get a free copy from work so naturally i'll be jumping on retail as soon as its out.

Also I noticed that during my last nvidia driver update NO reboot was needed! I was kind of shocked and double checked and confirmed the new driver was in fact in use, very cool.

I got Windows 7 RC build on my gaming rig, have not run into problems running any games so far, that includes The Punisher, Left4Dead, Mass Effect, Dawn of War 2, Hellgate London (lol).

I've actually been trying to make Win7 crash. Well, not trying too hard, but stuff like running Crysis while downloading - so far so good, the OS is stable as bedrock. I'm gonna buy it for sure.

sorry...but whats so tough about that? i know you're not trying to hard, but it still sounds like a VERY normal operating to me...
