That is not RTM. It's just an internal build. RTM is not for several more months. I would just stick with 7000 or whatever the RC version is. RC is a complete build. Microsoft is just trying to tweak whatever they can for the computer manufacturers to optimize to their tastes.

EDIT: Oh, and by the way, if you downloaded a torrented RC version, watch out for malware. Supposedly there's some malware installed to create a botnet. I guess I'm one of those people that are infected. Whatever. I need to fix my internet and reinstall some things so I'm going to reinstall Windows 7 because I have lots of time on my hands right now.

So I went to my network places today on one of my XP rigs and my entire user directory in Windows 7 was shared across my network!!
I unshared it and it went away..

I saw something like this when I first installed Vista ( pre SP1 ) and I shared a folder on my desktop.

If you were paying attention during the end part of setup, you would of know that durring the homegroup part, it asks you what you want to allow to share in your user directory.

By the way, Homegroups are AWESOME. Makes sharing between computers so simple and easy!

It wasn't just my user directory but the whole thing including the default user. I admit I was having a little trouble installing the X86 drivers for my shared printer and mucked with the sharing settings. I see I need to investigate further.. ( BTW I declined to share anything during setup)

Would you have expected XP? I certainly hope not...

Vista is the future no matter what way you put it, but Windows 7 is the very much streamlined version of Vista, and it works. I used Vista for a couple months and I couldn't bare it. Even with all that mishap, Windows 7 has brought new light to this GUI and I actually like it now. It is much more intuitive and user-friendly.

Keep going at it, and I think you will start to like it from here on in.

Anyone have any luck installing G15 drivers? Or is there a workaround I don't know about?
