Default Activate Vista OEM... help please.

I bought a Vista 64bit Home Premium OEM disc for my new build and am running out of time to activate it. What do I do? I haven't gotten the computer online yet... do I have to be connected to the internet?

Activate it online and call MS to activate it.

Do the telephone activation. You call a 1-800 number, read off your key, and it tells you like 9 groups of 6 digit numbers to punch in. Takes about 5 minutes.

This is exactly what you do. The automatic telephone activation will fail and then connect you to a MS agent, they will ask you a few quick questions and then give you the activation code. Its fairly painless and takes no more than 5 minutes.

yup.. quite painless. You don't even have to talk with a MS rep in India any more... it's completely automated over your telephone.

I was shocked the first time I had to activate via the telephone. I had prepared myself for the worst but it was quick and painless.

Ive activated windows by phone so many times its ridiculous. It's not fun, but if you skip the automated crap (which never works) and speak with an agent it only takes 4-5 mins.

Never works for me. I dont think you can use automated if you are activating OEM.
