Default Mystery harddrive

I have a hard drive divided into 3 partitions. When I go to Disk Management, it shows Drive 0 with the 3 partions (C), (D), and (E) .
They are NTFS and in healthy state. I also have a DVD with drive letter (F). When I go to My Computer I see another drive (G) which is the exact same as (C), size and files wise. I haven't run any disc mirroring at at all. And I can't get rid of this drive. When I run RegCure I get a lot of invalid drive error msgs, which looks like (G) drive is the culprit. Any suggestions to get rid of this drive would be appreciated, other than a repair/install.
I am running Windows XP Pro (SP2)
Thanks.
