This is a WHQL-certified driver for GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, and 200-series desktop GPUs.

??? I thought the .20's were WHQL as well?

These add Mirror's Edge benefits which the others didn't have. Other than that and some SLI performance scaling issues, these are pretty much the same drivers.

As for the WHQL status of the .20 drivers...I can't recall but I am pretty sure that they were. IMO, the lack of fixes is the reason these were able to get WHQL status so quickly.

If not mistaken I believe the beta and the WHQL for those sets are identical - you might as well keep them and wait for the next build, which will be 185.xx ! or use the current betas.

the .20 are better for some games (smoother)

I'm still running 178.24, can't wait to run Mirror's Edge and see how well it works....

Not much really, just means its a Microsoft approved driver and meets their(MS) level of stability tests for day to day desktop use. The key word is desktop use, I think some limited 3d tests are done as well but nothing drastic to ensure stability in every game.
