Default Looking for software recomendations for DVD ripping

Hey all,

I have a couple of three day conferences comming up, and I thought I would try and rip a few of our DVDs' (standard store bought ones) to a couple of thumb drives to take with me. Looking for a heads up on a good/easy to use freeware/shareware program to do it? Any thoughts? I have tried a few and everything keeps telling me it can't do it, due to copy protection and such.

I am not looking to d/load movies and such, I just want to change the format on them from "disk" to "thumb drive" so I can carry a few with me to kill time on the road.

Insights are greatly appreciated.

This site is a great resource:
Doom9.net - The Definitive DVD Backup Resource

A link to DVDshrink 3.2 is there (a great one as the guys suggested). If DVD Shrink has a problem with a copy protected disk (rare), then use DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 to rip the DVD to your drive. DVD Decrypter removes the copy protection. You can then play the dvd as is, or then use DVD Shrink to make the files smaller. These two have never ever failed me. Great way to make backups of a disk you own.
