Default XP install DVD not seen

So, my new system needs a windows xp pro. I have a legally obtained iso version, I burned it to a dvd an when I try and boot the system all I get it "disk book failure, please insert system disk and press enter"

Ive done a couple of windows installs before, and never had this trouble....

any clues?

Bad disc aka frizbee? Try burning at a slower speed if you're using generic blank DVDs.

yes lol, the dvd is 1st in BIOS(although only CDROM appears? (I'm assuming this just means the disk drive?)). I'm burning using a different program and brand dvd now!

If your iso came with a checksum, make sure your burn matches the value!
If it doesn't, it's another coaster
