Finally some good news for owners of graphics card with CUDA support - Other than folding, you will be able to do much more with your graphics card's GPU - and this is the beginning - I hope that software companies will start making more CUDA enabled applications.
Pegasys' new TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress software encoder now supports CUDA through a new update ! GPU accelerated MPEG decoding and GPU Accelerated video filtering (sharpening, blurring, color correction, you name it.) with options to enable seperately decoding and/or filtering. If you have video encoding projects and want to use multiple video filters, you don't have to worry about waiting 12 hours anymore to render as these filtering jobs will be done in 1 pass using the parallel processors in your graphics card!

P.S. Just to clarify what's written in RED on the website - G80 GPus are not supported in this update. If you use GPU decoding you might not get the same quality as with the software's internal quality decoder - SO - what you can do is disable GPU decoding, and keep enabled only the filtering - this is will greatly speed up your encodes with filtering and quality will be identical to CPU filtering.
