i'm haveing problems in Quake4 right now.
But if I apply these fixes, would it disable dual core for all applications?

my interpretation of whether this is applicable to my rigs is that it is not since i disable cie/speedstep on them all for oc'ing reasons.

So there is a reason to run them at 100% all the time

And it also means that everyone here should start folding for the HCF team to avoid this problem, and others like it

This is a good link you should add for dual core optimization in windows xp. It's much of the same but geared towards Amd x2's.How to install the AMD X2 drivers, hotfix, the correct way. - XtremeSystems Forums
