For gaming? Not quite sure. I just recently switched from XP 32bit to Vista 64bit to take advantage of 4GB. :P

I'd say bust it any way you can to go 64 bit! It IS worth it.
Now that we have computers that can push triple the bandwidth, as opposed to what was available when xp came out. I had a chance to run xp pro 64 for a while and It was 5% faster than Xp, at almost everything. Same amount of memory!

It's my next OS after Xp32, , then Linux!

64-bit is better.
More memory, more stable, better drivers, less volnurable.
