I'm guessing the gear you intend is what is in your sig?

I don't see any major roadblocks, but if it were me, I'd be looking for a larger case.

I have to ask, why the Quad Core? Are you doing a lot of multi-process stuff? If you are gaming and just doing surfing and whatnot then I read that a C2D is the choice still. You can get a E8400 for $207 vice $344. And you can OC the bad boy if you really want to. As Wilson mentioned, unless you are set on it a bigger case is always nice for cooling and generally easier to work in for the build.

I am curious about that Quad Core thing though. I am sure others will chime in with their opinions, at least I hope so. I could be wrong, I mean I have been before!

i choose the quad for longevity, it will have to last for a while (im runnin athlon 64 2ghz s754 agp system still ;(...... i had the case around here the other day and thought it was perfect for my cpu stand so gonna go with it, pretty much will just be gaming and surfing/music with the rig

Ah, I see... nothing wrong with future proofing. I tend to upgrade every 2 years, or at least that has been the way of it for about 6 years now. I have the luxury of being able to afford it now that 2 out of 3 kids are moved out!

I don't see anything wrong but since you will order from NCIX don't forget to pricematch all of your prices with the best ones available in canada. You can use the "price compare" available from this forum or shopbot.ca to find the best price for your parts.

Have fun with your new rig ...

By the way, you know that only a bit more than 3GB of you 4GB of ram will be available if you plan to use a 32bit OS ... just to be sure you know .
