Default Final Build Before Purchase - Please advise!

Hopefully this will be ready to purchase now. Had to make some adjustments, mainly going from a Q9450 to a Q6600 and mobo from rampage formula to asus p5q pro to bring the cost down. Hopefully it won't make too huge a difference :( Going to overclock this to try and get more potential out of it. Let me know what you think/suggestions/alterations. Price comes out to about $2,654. I'm trying to keep it under $2700. Thanks for all your advice!

Don't get 1tb drive. Better off with RAID 0 a couple of 640gb either WD or seagate, whichever is cheaper. It works out to be almost the same price and gives you nearly an extra 300gb and will be much faster.

Also, I don't think G51 speakers warrant a sound card for. Maybe if you get some Z-5500's, but that might put you over budget.

My System Specs

Nice parts, you'll be very happy once it's up and running.

I agree with 2x640gb drives, whether you Raid or not.

ANY sound card makes a difference. I was amazed at the difference between onboard and the X-Fi Extreme Audio, and that was a cheap card. Running Logitech X-540's. The Asus Xonar DX would also be a good card, $50 cheaper than the Creative you've listed.

Placed my order last night. I'm confident this will be a good one. I ended up making it a bit better in the end thanks to all your great suggestions that saved me some money and allowed me to get the 45nm chip and better mobo. With shipping and handling the total came to $2,800 which I feel is . I opted for an 850w psu in the end because I don't think I'll need the 1000w. Read alot of different opinions and reviews about monitors, sound cards etc. but I just went with what was in the budget and what I thought would be good enough. I'm coming from onboard audio and 2.1 so anything is an upgrade. I wasn't sure I was happy with the case but it really does seem to be a popular one right now. All in all it's a far cry from top of the line but I think it'll allow for some decent overclocking and some good gaming.

Here it is :) I'll try to take a few pics of the build once it arrives. Thanks again for all the help!
