I usually point my impatient friends to a pre-built since most of my customized recommendations are shot down as expensive or tagged as "only nerds need it". The extra $ isn't all that bad since they can easily exchange it in the store with the receipt and it all comes in one piece.

Hey guys , i'd like to thank you all for you help in my friends computer, he got his pc running last week, and his specs ended out to be:

Ram - OCZ 4GB PC2-8500 Reaper HPC 4GB Edition Dual Channel DDR2 Kit (2 x 2GB) (mushkins sold out)
HD -Western Digital - 320GB Caviar SE16 7200rpm SATA II w/ 16MB Cache
Optical - LG 16X DVD-ROM, Black (OEM)
PSU -Corsair HX 620W Modular Power Supply
Mobo - Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L
CPU- Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E8500 3.16GHz w/ 6MB Cache (e8400 sold out)
Case - Antec Nine Hundred
GPU - VisionTek Radeon HD 4870

Edit:
I also told him to get an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro, which he did.

Also the Mushkin 8500 kit is 128.65 at Td direct so price match at ncix and get a steal i paid more to get the 8000 lol

I just checked the stock... backordered...
Haha that blowss.
Mushkins seem to be in heavy demand.
I think i'll buy a pair locally once that new memory express opens up in northside Edmonton.
Anyways i believe I'm going off topic because this is my friends build not mine haha.

Edit: my bad in never looked at NCIX... xD
