I remeber when my parents used to give me grief about opening up the pc when I first started. Once you build your own they won't be able to say anything to you then!

lol! i agree i was trying to convince them to let me build the new one because this old computer has finally bitten the dust i am getting annoying programs like rundll16 and javaw taking all the cpu and the hard drive has made an odd funny noise (hdd failure i think :P) anyway so ya i agree totally all i need to do now is get a job for the money :P damn i wish there was something better then $8 bucks an hour :P ($4
considering half is going 2 collage/university fund)

15A is ok for a processor and no stand-alone GPU.

Not with that PSU. You could probably replace it with a good 450W Corsair, add a 8800GT and be good to go. However, we have no idea what your mobo is so it might not accept a standard ATX PSU.

i don't think it will this computer is just to old i can't even find support info about it i just think it is a lost cause i might as well wait till i get a job and get the money to build myself a nice PC

Wrong. When I built my first PC, my mom kept insisting there was something wrong with the computer because I kept opening it up. Then the second build came, and she kept asking me what was wrong with the first one.

Edit: I need to learn to read. So, yeah, what SKY said. If budget is a concern (as it was mine when I was 15), get a lesser video card and use the saved money towards a PSU. Granted, your CPU will be holding you back severely, but it's better than nothing.

A full upgrade on the cheap would be: $48 Celeron E1200, $50-60 mobo, $30-40 2GB DDR2, $50-80 PSU, $50-150 GPU. Possibly less if used? CPU would still be a bottleneck, but it'd kill your current one.

lol ya i can see my dad doing that (he hates the computer XD) but then again if i am going to buy computer parts i want to see them! so ya i would constantly open it too and plus this is just an idea i am either going to get a nice gaming pc or splurge on a 360 with controllers, games, hdd, accessories, and xbox live :P and a nice case mod so i don't know in my opinion 360 is more constrained then a nice gaming pc
