MY preference would be HIS. The psu should also be fine but be warned that you will probably have to upgrade it if/when you add more to your system (especially a second 4850 or whatever).

For the same price as your paying you can get a 1kw PSU with mail in rebate.......

Canada Computers - Power Supplies/Management > Desktop Power Supplies : OCZ ProXStream 1000W Power Supply - Multi-GPU Ready, Active PFC, 80mm Fan (OCZ1000PXS).

Great system!

Tho I might recommend you look at a case like the Coolermaster 590/690 or 182 and buy a seperate psu.

I know it may increase your price a bit but your video card will love you more it.

Looks like a decent build to me, especially since you'll have an up-to-date gaming rig for under $800. :)

Looks like a great system. I believe the Gigabyte card has the best warranty (3 years).

Great system.

If you plan to do gaming with this rig, you may look to the e8400 core 2 duo wich will give you the same or better performance in games than the q6600 for 20$ less. It will run cooler and seems to be easy to get 4ghz on this cpu on air cooling.

For the graphic card, with only 3$ difference, get the one that got the better warranty.

I recommend you to notify your credit card company before your order that you will buy from direct canada to avoid the issue of the blocked payment by your credit card company since they are hard to reach them by phone. Don't use paypal, it doesn't work and you will need to redo your order.

If you got problem with your order processing, came back on the forum and send a private message to DC_Support, a member of this forum who's a DC rep.

Just to let you know...some components are cheaper at NCIX on sale right now.

I'd go for separate case/PSU...unless you really like the looks of the Sonata...which I really don't

Case: CM590/690, P182, various Gigabyte cases.

PSU: Depends if you want modular or not. Mod: Antec Neopower, Corsair HX Non-mod: Antec Truepower, Corsair TX, OCZ EliteXStream, PCP&C 750W, Silverstone Zeus

GPU: IIRC Gigabyte has the best warranty of the 3.

RAM: Grab some Mushkin Redlines from NCIX instead...cheaper and better.

thanks for the replies i went with the q6600 to future proof the system a bit i also do some photoshop so it was worth it. went with the gigabyte card made sense to go with better warranty. i would have used ncix only they dont have free shipping so it would have worked out to be the same as buying locally. i would have liked to have a cm690 with a separate psu but just couldnt strech the budget anymore. Also does anyone know how long it takes to ship from BC to Ontario ground shiping.
