So I've collected a TON of rackmountable components over the years, so I figured I would buy a rack. Found a nice cheapie on NCIX, the APC AR203.
I get it home and I get it assembled. (It's heavy).
I've got a few things racked (switches, router, modems sitting on top) but have yet to rack a computer. I have 3 rackmount cases and am planning for more, but the ones I do have don't fit width wise.
You'd think out of ANYTHING rackmount would be at least semi universal.
I took a measurement, and something is off by 1/2inch.
Granted, I didn't use rails from the correct company, but they were cheap and available.
Compucase 2U with Antec rails don't quite fit.

Yea this has been a nightmare for myself as well. You really just need to get the rack specs and match it to a set of rails. There a few different standards so be careful.
