Talking Mini-ITX build advice - my first own build

Hello guys!

I've been investigating into making myself a mini-itx pc that i can bring around, as i might be moving to another country soon and i need the portability a LOT. first i looked into buying just a gaming laptop, but after seeing the crazy overpriced parts and machines, i couldnt bare to buy something that i knew was not worth.

These are 2 list i have made:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xpPHsJ - Alright, this one pcpartpicker detects some compatibility issues, but as seen in this video from techsource https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jz8jwjGavNo&t=145s the 2 parts that arent in pcpartpicker, are compatible. What do you guys think?

The second one has the same parts, but changing the CPU into https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N0L41N7?psc=1 or https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZZJ1P0...ing=UTF8&psc=1. and keeping the same motherboard.

What do you guys think? As is my first build i want to be completely sure about the whole idea, so i dont spent this huge amount of money that i've saved (i work as a video editor with premiere and after effects). It'll be my first purcharse with my own earnt money as im 17th, and it has always been one of my dreams.

Please try to give me as much advice/recommendations as you guys can!

There are problems with your builds.

1. The first build is using a mATX board not an mITX.
2. I don't think mITX board for AM4 is out yet.
3. Intel CPU doesn't plug into a B350 board.
4. The compatibility issue warning is coming from the case that's too small for the board.

You have an mITX case and an mATX motherboard. They're not the same size format and are not compatible. I don't believe I've seen any mITX AM4 motherboards on the market yet.

edit: Ninja'd.......

It looks like BIOSTAR does have an ITX ready to go but it's BIOSTAR......

Gigabyte should have one coming out according to the Internet.

Not for everybody, but if you want portability but don't want to be tied to the mITX format (most mITX cases aren't really all that small, but the one you've chosen looks pretty good) you might consider an open test bench case that can be easily broken down for storage in a suitcase....

I've traveled for courses with a high speed tech station broken down and the rest of the bits in their original boxes, but they're a bit pricey... something like this is closer to your current budget...

edit: I've also used this particular test bench case and was pretty happy with it...

You could also use a mini system like a NUC https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Produc...82E16856158048

all tho the NUC's are very impressive I don't think the GPU would be up to snuff for what the OP needs..
