Default New Build Feedback

Hi all,
I was wanting to get some feedback on this build. I will be using it for video and photo editing as well as gaming and will be getting more storage and ram when I save up for them. My price range is around $800. Thanks for the help!

I'd really try to get a better gpu in there.
That 950 is very entry level. If you could find a way to get a R9 380 instead it'd be FAR more powerful and be well worth the extra $40 or so.

With a non-k cpu, is a z170 motherboard needed?

CPU motherboard and case are good to go.

The rest will work without issue, but it has a lot of compromises. If the budget is firm, but you think you will have more soon, I would drop the gpu, use some of those funds to get a better SSD, 2x8gb ram, a better power supply and a hard drive. Then either just live with integrated graphics until you have funds for a gpu, or get a cheap used one to hold you over for a while...new GPUs will be out by then.
