My System Specs

Default CPU/Motherboard (&/GPU) for GPU passthrough?

- What will the PC be used for: Gaming (Windows (VM), Linux (steam, gog, WINE/playonlinux), perhaps some [email protected], browser the net . . .

- Price Range: Would ~$800 work?

- Country: USA

- Brand Preference:
Nope

- Reusing parts: Most of my current parts could probably be re used (see below)

- Overlocking: No - I live in one of the hottest states in the US, I don't need the extra heat, nor do we get cold(ish) winters

- Plan to build? - Couple months I'd guess . . . .

- Resolution: At least 1080 (the one monitor), if not 1440p (the other). When 4K comes down in price I might buy a 4k monitor.
-- Settings: It'd be nice to pull good settings and FPS out of either Windows VM or Linux.

- Specific Tech: I'd presume most of anything I'd "want' (UEFI, usb 3 . . .) would come with the motherboard, and or I already have it . . . .
