well i am running bf4 on all high settings and quite frankly i am having trouble playing it because it looks so damn good. I just want to watch everything. was so worth it. and the r9 270 i got was already oc'ed from the factory. runs about 15* cooler than the 5850. and very quite. I think my system with this one upgrade is gonna be fine for awhile now. I would like a bigger ssd card amd switch out the ram to more but I am very please.

so the 5850 i was getting 60fps on med settings and with the r9 270 oc I am getting 60+ fps on max settings in bf4. I was reading a article on ocing the 270 and it will oc to about the 290 specs with no errors if it wasnt for the sale or the free shipping I would have gotten a r9 270x but the 270 was 50 bucks cheaper and thats a case of beer

I cant imagine a 270 running bf4 on high with decent FPS! I think there's a command you can punch in via the bf4 console to see the live fps.

I didn't think that would be much of an improvement, but I just looked at anandtech benches and they don't have the same cards to compare, but a 260x wins some and looses some to a 5870, and a 270x walks all over it, so the 270 should be a decent upgrade. Enjoy!
