Default $700 Budget Gaming Build

I'm building a budget gaming computer ($700CAD) for my friend. He will be playing all sorts of games (BF4, NFS, FIFA, SC2...) on a single 1920x1080 monitor. She is not picky about the quality (low, medium, high), but as long as the game is playable (30FPS), and would last for about 3 years. This is what I've put together so far. I've never put together a budget PC, so please give me any advice and feedback. In addition, I have a few questions.
  • Would the i3-3220 be a bottleneck?
  • I was also considering the FX-6300, but I've always been more familiar with Intel
  • How is the mobo - especially H77s?
  • CX430 seems to be the go-to budget PSU. Any other suggestions as my local computer store (NCIX, Memory Express) doesn't carry this product
i3-3220 - $120
Galaxy 760 2GB - $260
MSI ZH77A-G43 - $86
Corsair DDR3-1600 2x4GB - $56
Seagate 1TB - $65
Samsung Dvd/CD - $17
Corsair CX430 - $52
Thermaltake VL80001W2Z - $40

That looks like a really solid budget build, except the power supply should be a bit stronger for that graphics card (at a minimum a quality power supply >500w I would say). If you want to keep that power supply i would drop the graphics card down to a 650ti boost. The only other thing is I am unfamiliar with that case...not sure what its like.

I would not drop the graphics card,no way, it's what will make the build last longer,i would take a really cheapo case and get a 500w PSU from bequiet or seasonic or corsair.

You can also try to find less expensive 1333mhz ram,it won't matter at all,i have 1333 mhz ram... Makes no difference for gaming and you could save 10-15 bucks?

Intel Core i3-3220 - $119
SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W - $90
ASRock Z77M LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - $90
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL - $70
Western Digital WD Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - $85 (On sale now!)
SAMSUNG DVD Burner SATA Model SH-224DB/BEBE - OEM - $16
COOLER MASTER HAF series RC-912-KKN1 Black SECC/ ABS Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - $70

$525

Those are solid parts, everything included except video card and aftermarket heatsink fan (he should get one of those later)

With these parts, you only have $175 leeway to buy a video card, and with that you could afford a GTX650 Ti Boost 2gb for $170. That card will be plenty for running all those games. I believe going any higher and you will only start to feel the bottleneck of the i3 3220 even more.

I priced everything out on Newegg.ca

Hi, here are is my mini build.

https://www.pccomponentes.com/core/c.../hash/G72INYhP

and if you have a bit more $$ then you could allways change the 650ti (146euros) for a EVGA GeForce GTX 760 SuperClocked 2GB (229euros) so +83 euros.

Also if u want 8 gb of ram (66 euros) then add 32 euros. SO.. all in all this build with the gtx 760 + 8 gb of ram would be around : 737.95 Euros

the reason I chose the *blow* type GTX 760 is so the hot air get pushed out of your small case.

A small gaming PC that is practical.

Totally useless as prices in euro's are way more than dollars..
Just noticed the thread necro... ignore the above but you really should start your own thread or not give advice on builds that are probably done by now.
