Save yourself that $10 on the cooler, it's only a tad better than stock and if you plan on overclocking, don't bother.

Arctic Alpine 11 PLUS CPU Cooler Review | Hardware Secrets

Why 1 stick of 8GB ram? Is PC Power & Cooling still a good brand of PSU now that OCZ owns them? Do you really need a Bluray drive these days and age?

Why bother putting the video card in that list for? If its purchased already it doesn't need to go in the list.

Minus the GPU off the list this is $663

Then replace it. I don't like MIR they scare me. Even if he spent the money on a 120gb one he'd still be far under the $900 budget that his original shows.

Better build IMO for $35 more.
Points of note,
z77 board, You may not be into overclocking but if you ever get the itch it's very easy and you'll get significant speed boosts with even a basic board. Also it will be much more re-sell-able than a chipset that doesn't allow you to OC.
much better cooler, Either drop it totally or get this.. Probably one of if not the best air cooler for it's price (though there may be newer ones that I've not heard of)
faster SSD, (much faster writes)
Double the HDD space, You had chosen a 2.5" (laptop) drive.. not good space per$
you want 2 sticks of ram so thats why that kit.. also 1866 will show you no visible difference in the vast majority of things where as dual channel will.
Much better PSU, Gold rated Seasonic, awesome PSU's (will run cooler and quieter than a higher rated bronze unit)

Can you also give a list of white power supplies that go good with the build

Can of spray-paint.. :P

Really you'll have to do a bit of research but I wouldn't pay much of a premium for a white PSU myself. Which you are with the one you chose.

A 3570k deserves a proper z77 chipset. Buy a cooler when you have the extra cash. If this is too much money, i'd suggest buying the ssd at a later point in time.

But yeah, please don't use that 3570k and 7970 on a b75 chipset : (
