Post First Build. Help me out.

Hey guys, I'm thinking about building a new pc. I have a list of parts already. I just want to know if there are any things that I can change to make it better. The main use of the computer will be gaming and video editing using Sony Vegas. I may also use it to stream with my Avermedia HD Capture. I already have keyboard/mouse as well as a monitor(1920x1080). I want to be able to play my games at 1080p with decent settings. I dont care about PhysX. I dont prefer any brand, just want the best performance for the money. Thats about it.

Part List- AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black, Sapphire Radeon HD 7850, Thermaltake Commander MS/I Snow Edition (White/Black) - First Build - Btalley69's Saved Part List - PCPartPicker

That MSI 870A-G46 ATX AM3 Motherboard is not a very good choice. It's an 8-series chipset, so it's not the most current one, and it won't be compatible if you ever decide to upgrade to one of the newer AMD processor such as the 8350.

Much better to go with the ASUS M5A97 R2.0 motherboard instead. You get a fully up to date 9-series chipset that is compatible with AMD's current processors (Vishera) and possibly even their future processors, too. It's also a fine overclocker, and you should be able to get at least 3.8Ghz on that 965.

Oh ya, and did I mention it costs less $$? $99 vs $108.

would help even more to know which types of gaming how often you game or video edit . I don't think that a green hard drive is good for a main hard drive I think that they are more for storage then anything.

I want to cap the budget at $700. I would consider myself a casual gamer, I play maybe an hour a day. Games I play are mostly shooters such as BF3, COD, Counter Strike GO, and Borderlands. I also play a little Starcraft every once in a while. My current computer is not fast enough so I'm wanting to upgrade. Also, I forgot to mention that Hard drive is going to be for extra storage only.
