Which Video Card

If he does look at a 7850 there is a XFX one on sale for $140 after $20 MIR. Just thought I would drop that in here for the OP. Never bought an XFX but its hard to argue with that price on a entry level card.

I have read that that card is a bit noisy, and its only a 1gb, but at that price I think its about as good as bang for buck is going to get without a power supply upgrade (IMO).

EDIT: That said I will put in a link for BlueByte here (you didn't even post your own sale?). He has a GTX650 Ti in the buy sell thread that is brand new in box for $100...I would consider that. Its between an hd 7770 and 7850 in performance, but would be even better on power (its cheaper and since private sale save the tax as well). Your call.

If you really want more performance then that, then the power supply should really be upgraded (as I mentioned in an earlier post).

LOL I didn't want to spam a thread with my own sale, seems shifty. I did bump my own thread around the same time though. and PM people when I think they might be interested in what I have. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to sales sometimes.

But yes that card is collecting dust so please feel free and buy it. I think the 650TIs are around $130 right now after rebates and sales. so its still a savings.

I live in Australia so the postage might be a little expensive. Could you please give me a quote on the postage so i can factor that into the overall price.

If your in Australia I am going to assume its not worth it to get something shipped from here. What online computer stores do you have to purchase from to take a look at pricing (I know your prices are usually more on computer components)?

gtx 660 should be the way to go, or 660 ti if the price is right.

Depending on the deals (game bundles or other incentives) it would be 660ti/7850/7870 area your looking at.

On the shipping things to else-where, you'd be surprised how much other countries get ripped on computer parts.
Though it would probably make sense to look at second-hand a bit more locally.

I think your power supply could handle a slightly more powerful card, but the price jump to a gtx 650Ti or hd 7850 is way too substantial IMO.

If you are willing to upgrade your power supply then these are the 3 best deals I can see in your price range (hd 7870 and 2 gtx 660)
