2013 AMD Gaming Rig

Hi guys, I thought I'd start my 1st post on these forums with a bit of a bang :)

I recently blew 1,500 on a gaming rig.. here's what I've come up with

AMD Phenom II X6 1100T @ 4.4Ghz
16GB DDR3-1600Mhz Crucial Ballistix 1.5v RAM
Gigabyte Radeon HD 7850 2GB
Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 Motherboard
Dell Perc 5i RAID card with 2x Maxtor Atlas V 146GB 10,000RPM HDDs in RAID 0 (ripped from Dell Poweredge 1900)
Seagate 500GB 7,200RPM Hard Drive
OCZ Agility 3 60GB SSD
Coolermaster Storm Enforcer
Novatech PowerStation 500watt ATX Power Supply
Antec Kuhler H20 920 with 2 120mm fans in push/pull
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi PCI-Express x1 sound card
LG Blu-ray reader / DVD-RW SATA drive
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Thanks for viewing this thread and feel free to tell me what you think! :D

EDIT: The pipes are no longer crossed, they're side by side now :)

4.4Ghz?!?! Nice overclock! What are kind of voltage are you putting to the cpu to achieve that?

great_big_abyss January 15, 2013 06:37 AM

and what are your temps? When I got anywhere near 4.0Ghz on my 1055T, my temps shot up to the sky, even with an AIO cooler.

My temps on full load reach about 55-58c, this is after running Prime95 for 48hours

I'm amazed you got those clock speeds on that CPU, I would think the temps would kill it but you sir have proved me wrong! :D

Nice overclock :thumb:.

Courageous about your voltage, but if you're happy with it, then power to ya. that's a nice overclock!

Very nice. I don't think I would be comfortable leaving voltages that high 24/7, but its impressive none the less.

That's awesome! I'm running 4.2Ghz @ 1.5V, and CPU-NB is 2.8GHz @ 1.4V. Temps stay under 50c but I'm kinda scared to push it even though AMD lists the "safe" max at 1.55V. But you sir...... have great balls of steel! :thumb:

I'm just curious, why the 1100T? Did you already own it, and if not, what made you choose it?
