My System Specs

Default

I second the swap to intel for a gaming computer. An i3 will run as fast or faster fps than the 965, and it gives you the ability to go to an i5 or i7 down the road. The 8350 wouldn't be that much of a change from the 965 for gaming only. And if you know you will upgrade the CPU in the not too distance future you could even save a few $ and go for one of the faster pentium CPU for now until that time (even they run toe to toe with amd offerings in gaming). If you may have the processor for a while, then stick with the i3.

EDIT: If you did want to do the hold you over CPU option the Pentium G860 has a good sale right now at NCIX. $65.

Anandtech compare of G850 and X4 965 (They each are faster in a few games).
