Looking for a second opinion on a build :) Recently acquired a gtx 670 and a Seasonic 760w 80+gold power supply. Now a 3570k is a given for my processor but I'm unsure which motherboard to go with between these 3 : MSI Z77 GD45-thunderbolt MSI Z77A-G45 Thunderbolt ATX LGA1155 Z77 DDR3 3PCI-E16 4PCI-E1 SATA3 HDMI VGA USB3.0 Motherboard MSI Z77 Mpower MSI Z77 Mpower ATX LGA1155 Z77 DDR3 3PCI-E16 4PCI-E1 SATA3 DVI HDMI VGA SLI USB3.0 Motherboard ASrock Z77 OC Formula ASRock Z77 OC Formula CEB LGA1155 DDR3 3PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 SATA3 HDMI USB3.0 Motherboard Also unsure of amount of ram needed but was thinking of a minimum of 16Gb (photoshop/gimp as well as after affects, and some gaming at 1080p max settings) If possible would like to stay within the 450$ mark for all 3 Thank you for your time. |
M power > GD34 > OC formula would be my ratings on them although I personally prefer gigabyte or asus boards :P check out the z77x-ud5h |

Why go with Asus and if so which one ? |
I love gigabyte boards, but since you don't have one on the list I would also go with the MSI Mpower. |
I also prefer Gygabyte or Asus boards. I have 2 Asus running in my systems and just ordered 2 (soon to be 3) of gigabyte boards. Always had good luck with them. |

I've been hearing good things about MSI boards...particularly from an ex-employee of ASUS! I would probably go with the M-Power based on it's overclocking potential vs. the Thunderbolt. Plus, it's got a cool name (Big Bang) as well as an awesome colour scheme (yellow on black, anyone?) |
I'll be honest the yellow and black was one of the reasons i was considering the Big-Bang and the OC formula, tired of seeing MB with the ever popular red/black color scheme. :P |
M power from your list, but after using an ASUS board I can't use any other brand for awhile, it just works to well. |
