This is great, since I know you're willing to go AMD, lets try to get you and your sister the best build possible. With the build revisions I've made, you'll have enough for an FX build. You said your sister will be using the PC for mainly photo editing and stuff, the FX will help a lot with that; FM1 is mainly leaned towards budget gaming. With either build below, you get a better PSU, CPU, case, and Kb & Mice. (I also played around with an FM2 build, but it was no point since it ended up as much as the FX build)

FX Build:
CASE: Fractal Design Core 1000 mATX Computer Case $34.99
MOBO: Newegg.ca - BIOSTAR A880GZ AM3+ AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX AMD Motherboard $69.99 or Newegg.ca - MSI 880GMS-E41 (FX) AM3+ AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX AMD Motherboard $64.99 w/ rebate
CPU: AMD Bulldozer FX-6100 Six Core Processor 3.3GHZ Socket AM3+ 95W Retail Box $109.99
PSU: XFX 550W PRO550W Core Edition Single Rail ATX 12V 44A 24PIN ATX Power Supply 80PLUS Bronze $49.99
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM $69.99
RAM:Corsair Vengeance Blue CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Dual Channel Memory Kit $30.99
DVDRW: ASUS DVD-E818A7T/BLK/B/GEN Black 18X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model $17.99
SPEAKERS: Logitech X-140 2.0 5W $29.99
KEYBOARD: Logitech Cordless Desktop MK260 Keyboard & Optical Mouse Wireless Combo USB - Black $24.99
MONITOR: Use current LCD TV.

Don't let the reviews for the MSI board scare you, two of them were written by idiots. One didn't even buy one yet and just wanted to complain. And the other gave a crappy review before asking around for help to a simple BIOS edit.

Total + Tax: $485-$490 (depending on what MB you choose)

Revised FM1 Build:
CASE: Fractal Design Core 1000 mATX Computer Case $34.99
MOBO: Newegg.ca - BIOSTAR A75MG FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard $68.99 -> $48.99 w/ rebate
CPU: AMD A8-3870K Black APU Quad Core Processor w/ Radeon 6550D HD GFX Socket FM1 3.0GHZ 4MB Retail Box $92.99
PSU: XFX 550W PRO550W Core Edition Single Rail ATX 12V 44A 24PIN ATX Power Supply 80PLUS Bronze $49.99
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM $69.99
RAM:Patriot Viper 3 8GB 2X4GB PC3-15000 DDR3-1866 9-10-9-27 1.5V Dual Channel Memory Kit - Venom Red $44.99
DVDRW: ASUS DVD-E818A7T/BLK/B/GEN Black 18X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model $17.99
SPEAKERS: Logitech X-140 2.0 5W $29.99
KEYBOARD: Logitech Cordless Desktop MK260 Keyboard & Optical Mouse Wireless Combo USB - Black $24.99
MONITOR: Use current LCD TV.

Total + Tax: $465

PS. The FX build also has integrated graphics, more than enough for photoshop and HD streaming

I actually ended up going with your revised FM1 build. Thanks for all your help, really made the whole process much easier. Thank you to all previous posters as well, cheers.
