The AMD/intel debate never ends. Really its your call which way you go. Generally speaking AMD is fast enough and allows more of your budget to go to GPU, but two things to keep in mind before you make up your mind.
1) Intel is capable of giving higher fps if a game is cpu limited (an i3 gives around the same performance in game as x4 965 from amd).
2) AMD is notably more power hungry and may require you to spend more money on a higher wattage PSU to run it (vs a intel cpu with the same GPU)
Both computers would be fine and an argument can be made either way. Personally I love AMD (and have it now), but if I was building a gaming rig today it would be intel for the power savings, and better chance of it not limiting my fps. You could consider going to a i5 3450/3470/3550/3570 non-k version if your budget is tight. They can be had for around $175-200 and if you don't high motherboard requirements you can get cpu/MOB bundles for $250-275. Even without an OC they can give higher fps than an OCed AMD rig. Its easier to replace a GPU down the road that to do full motherboard/CPU change if you have the need to upgrade.
Alright, enough with the intel side of the coin. I just felt it prudent as you were only getting information on one option.
On the AMD side you generally get a more feature rich motherboard for the same cost vs intel.
