Hey everyone a quick update.

My build has been delayed a bit due to financial reasons. But I should start picking up parts in two weeks, perfect timing for the Black Friday sales.
So first a question, what sort of Black Friday sales can I expect, and are there any specific places that tend to have a better sale than others?

Now an update on the planned build.

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($236.89 @ TigerDirect Canada)
CPU Cooler: Antec Kuhler H2O 620 Liquid CPU Cooler ($58.78 @ Newegg Canada) OR Corsair Hydro Series H60 74.4 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($42.48 @ Memory Express)
Motherboard: Asus Maximus V Gene Micro ATX ($204.99 @ Newegg Canada) OR Gigabyte G1.Sniper M3 Micro ATX ($158.23 @ Canada Computers)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($39.88 @ Newegg Canada)
Storage: Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 240GB 2.5" SSD ($178.27 @ DirectCanada) OR Crucial M4 256GB 2.5" SSD ($206.83 @ Newegg Canada)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 OC 2GB Video Card ($357.98 @ NCIX)
Case: Silverstone SUGO SG09 - $99
Power Supply: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($59.14 @ DirectCanada) Open to options from sales

Looking at your first post, if the main reason for the build is gaming then make sure you don't skimp on the three things that will greatly affect your gameplay experience. First and foremost, of course, the graphics card. If your not stuck on Nvidia I would do this guy:

MSI HD 7970 - better card for the same price and even a nice fat MIR.

The second most important is your processor, there still aren't many games out there that will max out a processor so you have some flexibility. The i5 is a great choice, but you might want to consider the 2500K or going with the non-K version to save some cash. Which leads me to the next question. Why the Maximus V Gene? It is almost without question the very best Z77 board on the market (and the price tag to prove it), unless you are planning some heavy overclocking adventures you are probably buying alot of overkill. If you are not doing any overclocking with the chip then buy any board that has the features you are looking for. A Z68 board could have everything you need but a much nicer price tag. Personally, this one is the board I would grab.. Great clocking motherboard on the cheap.

Other than that I like the build you have. Have fun!
