Looking at your first post, if the main reason for the build is gaming then make sure you don't skimp on the three things that will greatly affect your gameplay experience. First and foremost, of course, the graphics card. If your not stuck on Nvidia I would do this guy:
MSI HD 7970 - better card for the same price and even a nice fat MIR.
The second most important is your processor, there still aren't many games out there that will max out a processor so you have some flexibility. The i5 is a great choice, but you might want to consider the 2500K or going with the non-K version to save some cash. Which leads me to the next question. Why the Maximus V Gene? It is almost without question the very best Z77 board on the market (and the price tag to prove it), unless you are planning some heavy overclocking adventures you are probably buying alot of overkill. If you are not doing any overclocking with the chip then buy any board that has the features you are looking for. A Z68 board could have everything you need but a much nicer price tag.
Personally, this one is the board I would grab.. Great clocking motherboard on the cheap.
Other than that I like the build you have. Have fun!
