Current System:
CASE: Antec 300
CPU: i7 930
MOBO: GB X58A-UD3R
GPU: ASUS 5770
RAM: G.Skill 6GB (Tri)
HSF: Noctua U12P-SE2
PSU: Corsair HX650
SSD/HDD: Intel 520 / 1.5tb of storage

Okay, so I mainly use my computing for gaming at 1080p (work, surfing, etc) at the moment I am considering two options:

• Sell off my current parts (kept PSU, drives and HSF) and build this:

CASE: Fractal Design Mini
CPU: i5 3570K
MOBO: GB G1 Sniper M3
GPU: ASUS 670
RAM: Corsair 8GB
HSF: SAME
PSU: SAME
SSD/HDD: SAME

• Upgrade my current system to this:

CASE: Fractal Design R4
GPU: GB 670
I/O: USB3 PCIe (gives internal USB3 header)

I want to change my case to something more quiet and that has better cable management (other suggestions for case are welcome).

The new system will probably cost ~$200 more than upgrading my current system (after selling current parts). I am also thinking that if I wait for another few years my current parts wont have any resale value.

Which option do people think would be best? Thanks.

I have one question how well does your ssd work with your x58 set up.

It works quite well. It is connected via the SATA 3Gb/s Intel port on my mobo. Although it is a SATA 6Gb/s SSD the only performance number that is limited by the port is the sequential read/write.

Oh ok I love my x58 setup, I overclocked my 970 from 3.2 to 4.2 ghz its perfect only thing missing is pci-e 3.0 and only thing i wish it didnt have is the stupid marvel controller. With one 680 pci-e 2.0 x16 is fine but i have been hesitant on buying an ssd because ive heard they have problems with marvel controllers at 6/gbs.

Don't run on the marvel controller, its crap on the x58 platform.
