Default New gaming build <= $2000. Suggestions welcome!

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
-Will be used for gaming, primarily. Will be playing basically anything I can get my hands on. Ranging from FTL to Planetside 2 to End of Nations to World of Warplanes to GW2.

- Also would like to use to live stream.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
-Looking around $2000 taxes and shipping inc,

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
- Canada

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.
- Intel, WD, that's about it.

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
-Will be using Monitors, keyboard and mouse, optical drive, OS, sound card. Turning the current PC into a server, and will just use a KVM to switch between the two.

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
-I have been doing a lot of research. I have prepared a PC Part Picker list that I will link below. Have not picked a video card, but am debating between a GTX 670 and a 7970.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
-Hoping to OCthe i5 to around 4.4 - 4.5 Ghz. Also will overclock my video card as soon as possible. I am very comfortable overclocking. Don't plan on overclocking RAM, as it only costs roughly $10-$15 more to buy 16GB of DDR3 2133 over DDR3 1600.

8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
-Will be buying/building end of November/early Dec.

9. What resolution and settings do you use?
-1920x1080 Max settings. No 3D. Run two monitors now, thinking of expanding to three monitors in 2013.

10. Are there any specific technologies you want?
-USB 3.0
-Quiet Case

Current rig:
Asus Rampage Forumla Motherboard
Q9450 @ 3.4 Ghz
8GB DDR2 800
WD Caviar Black 500GB HDD
Asus Xonar DX Sound Card(Using in new PC)

Here is what I have thus far:

Intel Core i5-3570K, Silverstone SST-FT02B-W-USB3.0 (Black) - System Build - PCPartPicker Canada

The only thing I am dead set on is the case. I have always wanted a SilverStone case, and this one makes my tummy feel fuzzy and makes my beard grow quickly.

Currently have no video card picked. Was thinking about the Sapphire HD 7970 Ghz Vapor-X.. but those are never in stock, unfortunately.

Oh... and I despise HIS cards.

Any suggestions or recommendations are welcome.

My System Specs

Overall very solid. So my thoughts are things I would consider with your budget, but are by no means required.

1) possibly try for 2x8gb ram to leave some room if it ever becomes required to add more later.
2) since there is room in your budget left maybe go to a wd black vice green (I know its not your primary drive, but faster is better...and it has a better warranty)
3) for 1920x1080 I would go for a gtx 670
4 an i7 is not required for gaming only, but since you have some budget room a 3770k would be possible. Again if its gaming only and the budget is top dollar vice what you are wanting to spend, then the 3570k is great.
Desktop: Arc Midi R2, Z77-D3H, 3570K 1.09v/4.1ghz with Zalman Optima Cooler, Corsair Vengeance 2x4gb@1866mhz, XFX R9 280X DD, Bitfenix Fury 750w, WD Black 1TB, Intel 530 120GB
Away from home light Gamer: Acer Aspire 15.6", A8-3500m undervolt and OC to 2Ghz, 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance, Crucial M500 240gb
