Help for my New Rig

Getting a new custom build computer soon.

Here are the specs

Processor: Intel Core i7 3770 3.4GHz
Mainboard : Asus Maximus V Formula (E-ATX)
Memory: Kingston DDR3 1333 CL 9 KVR1333D3N9/4G (8GB) 4GB x 2
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB SATA3 WD10EZEX -
Graphics Card: MSI HD7870 2GB R7870 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC
Optical Drive: LG 24x DVDRW GH24NS90 Black
PC Case: Coolermaster Elite 431 Plus with Side Window
Power Supply: Seasonic M12II 750 Bronze 750W
CPU Cooler: Corsair H60 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

If this is a non-k CPU (which means you won't be overclocking) then there is no point paying extra for that high end motherboard, just get a P8H77-V and upgrade you hard drive to a Caviar Black instead.
Also what monitor do you plan using with that system?

Agree that we can better comment if we know what it will be used for. If its for gaming and not more heavily threaded applications I would go to a 3570k, the black version of the hard drive, and get slightly faster 1600mhz. If you do want the 3770 make sure it is the k... Or if its not then go to a cheaper motherboard.

Ram would also consider getting some g.skill instead of kingston.
The board u picked seems out of place compared to vid and cpu u listed, as the others have mentioned.
Video card maybe go 660ti.
Any harddrives with blue or green are not for performance, black is the way to go.
U hadn't mentioned a ssd which in my opinion is a must these days on any new pc build.(240 gig if u can afford it)

You seems as though your purpose of this pc is gaming. On that note (if am correct) would reconsider your parts choice.

I've highlighted the things that seem out of place or incompatible, which happens to be about everything

• As mentioned, a non-K processor with a liquid cooler is out of place unless you're looking for a very quiet computer, but even then most air coolers with a 120mm fan will do fine on an Ivy Bridge
• An EATX motherboard will not fit in a Coolermaster Elite 431 unless you cut up the case
• If you can, pay the extra money ~$5ish for the DDR3-1600 RAM - AnandTech - Sandy Bridge Memory Scaling: Choosing the Best DDR3
• The power supply is overkill for the 7870 video card
• As mentioned, get an SSD or switch to a higher tier hard drive if for some reason you don't want an SSD (e.g. 2TB Caviar Black or Seagate Barracuda XT)
