Question CPU Help

hey im building a new pc and i dont know if i should go for the i5 3570k or the i7 3770k because im willing to record with Dxtory and i feel like the extra threads of the i7 with hyper threading will help Dxtory record smoother anyone can help me ? ( mainly going to be recording borderlands 2 for now.

If it's doing any kind of on-the-fly encoding, I'd think the extra threads would help.

The hyperthreading will certainly help you out there. It's not really about recording smoother though per se, it's about compressing fast enough. Note though that you'll need some nice fast HDDs too, not just a fast CPU.

got a 128Gb OCZ Agility 4 as my main drive ( got 86Gb free ) and a 1Tb Storage, i use the raw cap so that it splits the load between the two drives but when im gonna record do you know if i will have any fps difference between the i5 and i7 ??
