AMD and Intel builds below 1200$ please give your opinion

I will use the system for: Gaming (BF3, Crysis3, WoW), Video editing/rendering, 3d Animation rendering and Photoshop
I am planning to overclock the CPU
I am planning to build one of the systems in a month or so

Intel build (I also want VirtuMVP for future thingy's not sure if this motherboard supports it)

Case: Sharkoon Tauron (red edition)
CPU: Intel core I5 3570k
CPU cooler: Scythe Mugen 3
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Pro4-m (does uATX fit in this case?)
RAM: G.skill 8gb 1600Mhz
PSU: OCZ fatal1ty 750w (is this one 80+ gold/silver/bronze?)
GPU: Club 3D radeon HD7770
HDD: Hitachi HDS721010DLE630 (1TB 7200rpm 32mb cache)
DVDthingy: LG GH24NS70 (12-x DVD RAM writer)

I enjoy the first build the CPU is in terms of performance better than the AMD, im just not sure about the cooler you want to use.

1. Drop OCZ power supply and get something better. Isn't there a list that show who actually made which PSU?
2. Upgrade from 8GB to 16GB since you will be doing 3D stuff.
3. Upgrade from 1TB drive to 256 SSD and reuse a smaller drive for scratch drive if the software can take advantage of it.
4. Drop the LG DVD drive and get a Lite-On or Asus. All my LG drive died within a year.
5. Don't bother with an AMD at this point.

I see no mention of your planned monitor resolution, and your system info is a laptop.

It might just be me, but pairing a 3570k with a 7770 seems like a poor choice. I understand this isn't just a gaming pc, but even if you're gaming at 1680x1050 the budget series will struggle with visual quality in some games.

I bought a 5770 (hwc review unit) back when it launched and while it was solid with the above resolution, it didn't take long before current games were asking too much of it.

Sorry i am just messing around, the list i gave is a system i have on hand and is to demonstrate that if you dont mind buying some mildly used parts mixed with some new parts, you can save a crapload of money or buy well above your budget. If you were to buy all those parts new it would be significantly more.
