AMD FX-4100 Motherboard suggestion

My buddy has a brand new FX-4100 to give me, and I need to pick out a mobo.

I'm upgrading from an Intel e5200 C2d.

I'd sugest steppin up to what I have in my siggy. I have never been a big fan of asus & swore i'd never buy another 1 of there motherboards again ..... BUT I gotta admit, they kinda hit a homerun on these boards especialy with there layout.

I guess my next question is, is this a viable mid-range gaming rig with a GTX 560 Ti?

The Processor is free, otherwise I'm looking at an intel setup which is a fair bit more money.. but sounds like much more futureproof.

AM3+ is supported till the end of 2013 roughly ..... given intel's track record they could turn around & say ... you need a 1154 pin board for the new haswell chips ...

As it is, if you go the am3+ board like I got, vishera's will drop in when your ready to move to a higher end cpu ....

The savings can also be translated into a decent SSD drive to use on it as well for more preformance.

Free processor makes all the difference here... 560 ti will be fine for a mid range gaming rig. But if your buying then watch the price...
