Advice on Ivy bridge build
 

CPU:Intel 3570K
Motherboard: Asus Maximus V formula
Cabinet:NZXT Switch 810 Black
Cooler: CM Hyper 212+ EVO
Graphics Card: Gigabyte 670 Windforce
Hard Drive: 1TB Seagate
PSU: Corsair HX 650watts
Optical Drive:Asus DVD Drive
Mouse & keyboard: Already have it.
Please let me know if any changes are required. Should i go with p8z77-v pro or Asus maximus v formula ?

All looks good... either board is good... Though the maximus has got much better sound (you'll need a headset / speakers that will be good enough to tell the difference)

Pick either and you'll be happy.

P.S. No RAM selected..

Nice build, also those Asus ROG boards include Asus Premium Service and their excellent cross-shipping, and awesome support if needed.

That sounds like a very good build, I would go with the ROG board as well. If you plan on overclocking that board will help.

Get cheapest Z77 MB from ASUS, a direct saved money towards 120GB SSD. You will thank me later.

Or he can get the good mobo now and get the ssd later when a sale hits or something like that.... Also the cheapest? that doesnt sound like a good idea just to get a ssd

agreed. An ssd is a must. Something like a 120GB vertex 3 would be something to look at. You can save about 60-70 bucks on the motherboard if you were to switch to the z77 sabertooth.

ROG is $300 and the sabertooth is $232 for two very similair boards.

You can even buy the sabertooth and ssd from memory express, use their uber pricematch system, and you will get a further reduction of 25 percent of the difference between theirs and the competitors.
