LG Black 12X BD-R 3D Playback

case. corsair 500r or 600t
monitor samsung S27A950D

1) Change the hard drive to a Western Digital Caviar Black
2) In my opinion, there is no need for the 3770k or 16GB of RAM. 8GB and a 3570K will do you just fine, even in the long run
3) If you want, you can get a smaller SSD and do SSD caching with Intel RST.

Single 680 should be plenty for that res, even in 3d.. 3d is really meh (for me personally) I'd go for an ips 27" or the samsung pls.. Much higher image quality (but this is really personal preference).

Instead of sli 680's (if your really set on that much power) why not a single 690? I know which I'd choose..

For a gaming build as Keltron said above a 3770k and 16GB ram is overkill.. It will be a very long time before you need that much of either.

Mobo.. I'd go for the asus sabertooth personally. Have seen too many issues with gigabyte.

P.S 600t white is my fave case at the moment.

Personally I believe that the i7 3770k is not necessary for a gaming build. Most game do not utilize hyper threading anyways.

i5 3570k will work just fine for gaming.

Agree with others. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the build, but if it is solely a gaming rig you could save a lot of money and get pretty much the same gaming experience.

well done. sure you could save a little money by taking some of the suggestions but, what's wrong with having too much computing power? i say nothing. besides, what may be excessive today always seems to end up being too little tomorrow.

just don't be sad when everything is faster and cheaper next year.
