Default New i7 build but what motherboard

I am building a new system, but I am stuck on the motherboard
The system is below

Intel i7 3770k
4 X 500GIG SATA HD (RAID) segate baracuda sata3
4 x 8GB DDR3 Dominator 1600 (16gb)
Case Z11 ???
Nvidia 670 Graphics Card 2048mb
H100 Water Block for CPU
lite on blueray cd
Crucial 256gb SSD or MSATA if using the Gigabyte or ASUS Board
Windows 7 ULT
Power Suply XFX 850 Pro Core Edition

The motherboards I have been looking at are....

1 Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H MB
2 MSI Z77 AGD65
3 ASUS one of the SaberTooth Board or P8Z77 V

I realy need help here guys, the main use of the system will be Microsoft Flight sim 10 and Adobe Premier 6 and After Effects 6(hence the video card, approved for the new Adobe Engine)

I like the idea of the MSATA for cache on board but what do you all think.

I am not interested in Extreme over clocking but just a bit would be nice

Thanks in advance

Get the sabertooth, it's built to last, and I believe they have a 5 year warranty!

get an asus board no matter witch one

z77 is similar to z68 and only asus has a proper bios for both

its all about the bios this time around

On the z77 lineup the UD5 seems to be the best bang for buck atm, and the sabertooth is...well IT'S A SABERTOOTH!!!

He's got a point.

A few things tho:

-Don't get MSATA, what's the point?
-Are you planning on going SLI? if not then your PSU is way overkill
-You are getting some quite high end gear, the Z11 a rather low end case (looks flashy but isn't built for the enthusiasts)

Get a standard SSD.. The M4 is good value but as your board supports TRIM I would go for a Sandforce based drive. They have sorted out the problems that plagued them earlier in their life.

H100 is overkill if your not looking to really push the clocks.. H60 is a very solid unit.

Agree on the case. Also it's UGLY.. CM haf is nicer and corsair do some very very nice cases.. Personally a Corsair 600t white, 550D or a NZXT H2.. (Silent but still good cooling) would be my personal choices.

I have the Z77a-GD65. So far it has served me well and has an awesome bios. Linus says it's the best bios so far as well as Dan from TechSourceTV. I think it will suit your needs perfectly because the 1 touch OC genie feature is pretty nice for minor OC.

I'm sure any of the 4 boards you have been looking at will suit your needs though.

For Z77, Gigabyte has the best mid and high-end boards in the $200 UD5H WB (latest audio chip and wireless included) and $300 Sniper.
below $150, Asrock Exstreme4. Gigabyte skimped on the audio in this price segment while Asrock has the latest realtek 898 audiochip.
With Ivybridge Z77, Asus is just relying on their name and overpricing their motherboards while having less futures than the competition.

Ok thanks for all your input guys, so you all seem to think what I was thinking, the gigabyte board.

As for the SLI question, yes but as the cards are about 300+ each that might have to wait for a few months.

Might watercool them as well when I got the 2 and the block is available

Thanks for the input on the cpu cooling will look into that

As for the case, Z77 does look nice, but if its not up to this build, what would others suggest???
Just found out the Z77 is hard to get in the UK at the moment anyway......
Thanks again. this is all helping a great deal

Can the person who said dont get Msata tell me why???

I was going to use the Msata for the cache, and an SSDD as the boot drive.

Just spent the last few days watching Linus on Tech Tips and thats what he suggests.

Is Msats slower?? understand the Sandforth is faster and more reliable

The Z77 case would do.. it's just overpriced for the features it has..

Personally I love the corsair 600t white but they aren't everyones taste.

P.S. where are you buying from?
