You've already bought these parts?

Main suggestion I would have is to bump the chip up to a 2500k so you can take advantage of the overclocking.. possibly an oem version (though you get less warranty with the oem version)

Maybe a cooler too if you do want to overclock it.. (there are loads of guides and it's really easy on those chips) CM 212 is good and cheap..

nvidia have better drivers but the 2 cards are very similar performance wise.. if it won't cost anything.. I'd go nvidia.. if it will cost, then leave well enough alone.

The price looks about right though for what you got.

Samsung SH-S243D/BEBE SATA 24X Black DVD Writer OEM- 19.99$ fine

Western Digital Caviar Blue (WD10EALX) 1TB SATA3 6GB/s 7200RPM 32M Cache (OEM)-109.99$ a bit expensive, but not bad

Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 Socket 1155 Intel Z68 Chipset Dual-Channel DDR3 2133/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz 2x PCI-Express GLAN 7.1-CH HD Audio 2x SATA 6.0Gb/s 4x SATA 3.0Gb/s 12xUSB 2.0 2xUSB3.0 ATX- 129.99$ Fine

Thermaltake TR2 600W Power Supply (TR-600)- 45.99$ I would pick a different power supply. A similar wattage but antec, seasonic, corsair, or XFX would be my pick

Mushkin Blackline 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz CL9 DIMM (996995)- 44.99$ Fine

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1 64-Bit - 1 PC License and Media - OEM English (GFC-02050) - 104.99$ Fine

Asus EAH6870 DC/2DI2S/1GD5 DirectCU AMD Radeon HD 6870 Chipset (915MHz ) 1GB (4.2Ghz) GDDR5 Dual Display DVI/DisplayPort PCI-Express 2.1 Graphics Card- 199.88$ A bit more than I would pay for a 6870. I would go for a 560 Ti. Should be able to get one for the same price.

NZXT Phantom 410 BLACK Crafted Mid Tower Case -89.99$ not familiar with it.

Added comments above.

Personally, I'd stay away from that PSU. As Bond007 pointed out, there are better PSU's out there. The one thing you don't want to skimp on in a build is a PSU. A good friend of mine just lost 3 HDD's and a motherboard to a Thermaltake PSU about a month ago. Go for something that has a positive track record and good reviews.

I'd get the WD black 1TB over the blue for a similar price.
As others have said diff psu.
I'd go with the 560ti.
