Post First budget gaming build (2500k VS. 3570K)

RE-EDIT: I have modified my budget quite a bit. I've increased my budget and this is what I am planning to buy now! Give your opinion please! (Probably going to wait for Ivy, but will there be a price increase on 2500K? and I don't think I'll wait for the 6xx Nvidia serie because it's probably gonna take a while before we see 660 with custom cooling.)

(NO LONGER GOOD) EDIT: Or you could just tell me the best possible build (gaming) for a 1000$ including the monitor (VE247H)
Hi, firstly here are the basic questions about my build (Sorry if my English isn't perfect or my sentences looks strange, not my first language):

1. Mainly for gaming, but no need to max out AA on every game (I play a lot of WoW and I'd like to max it out with good FPS. My current computer is struggling on Aion and Vindictus. I play COD and I'd like to play Skyrim and BF3)

2. Around 1000$ (With monitor, no OS)
3. Canada (Quebec) on NCIX or local computer store
4. I'm pretty much sold to Nvidia, but maybe I could consider ATI. And for CPU I have no idea what to think a little Intel or a big AMD. Both seem to have advantages and disadvantages can't decide. AMD is a lot cheaper, but older Intels seem to compete against new AMDs so I'm not sure. And I also read that Phenom II are better than Bulldozers
5. Could maybe use HDD, DVD burner, keyboard and mouse
6. No idea on over-cloaking not sure if it is dangerous for system. Can I buy a cheaper CPU, but OC it?
7. I'm going to buy that monitor ASUS VE247H 23.6IN Widescreen LED LCD Monitor 1920X1080 2MS 10M1DC HDMI DVI-D VGA Speakers - ASUS - VE247H
8. I'm ready to buy it, but I could wait if anything new comes out soon
9. No need for any software and already have my OS

So, for what I could decide these are the parts that I'm very interested in. Give me your opinion on it:

Monitor
: ASUS VE247H 23.6IN Widescreen LED LCD Monitor 1920X1080 2MS 10M1DC HDMI DVI-D VGA Speakers - ASUS - VE247H
GPU
: ASUS GeForce GTX 560 DC 810MHZ 1GB 4.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI Mini HDMI PCI-E Video Card - ASUS - ENGTX560 DC/2DI/1GD5
RAM
: 8Gb at 1600 something like that Kingston HyperX KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 XMP Dual Channel Memory Kit - Kingston - KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX

So for the rest I'm a bit lost, here are my ideas and questions.:

CPU
: An FX-4100 or FX-6100 with an ASUS M5A97 (But I heard Bulldozer isn't very good). Maybe a 2500k, but it's too powerful and expensive for my needs I think.

PSU
: How much W do I need for this system?
Case
: Nothing too fancy, any suggestions on silent and decent looking case?
Probably forgetting something..

So here it is, I need help on my CPU. Please give me your opinion and suggestions

... I already made a thread a while ago on a build but at the last moment I didnt buy it, but now I really need a new computer. Here's the link if it can help, but my requirements have changed a bit since:My first gaming pc best Price/Performance

Thanks,

Chuck

I think you could get a 2500k.. A bundle on ncix will give you 5$ shipping, saving you a bunch of money for a full build.

monitor 200 - you picked it
2500k + mobo bundle 330 - NCIX Gaming Bundle Deal Intel Core i5 2500K Unlocked CPU & MSI Z77A-G45 DDR3 CrossFire Motherboard - Bundle Deals - Z77A-G45 & 2500K
650W psu 70 - corsair/seasonic/xfx, etc
1tb HDD 100 - I would just get a cheap one, save up for SSD later on.
ram ~50 - anything
case ~60$ - really depends on your tastes.

GPU - unfortunately there was a gigabyte 560ti 448 core for 200$ but it's sold out.. Maybe wait for next week but then you would lose the 5$ shipping (might be able to get it with a diff bundle). If you want to buy soon I would go for the evga gtx480 it's on sale for 225$, similar to a gtx570.
I just wouldn't go for a gtx 560. At least a gtx 560 ti.

total ~1040 + tax, so roughly 100$ over budget. Is that too much?

EDIT: Some popular choices for cases are the haf912, antec sonata 3, bitfenix shinobi. They are all about 60$.

actually i just looked at your old thread, and most of the comments are still very valid. Brutalgreen's build is a good suggestion, and very similar to mine.

New intel CPUs and nvidia GPUs are really right around the corner, so now would be sort of a "bad" time to buy, but if you need it now, it is still a very good build. waiting would probably give you ~10-20% better for the same price.

Well the new nvidia's have started being released with the 680 already.. so the smaller siblings should be out very shortly..

Ivy is supposedly due out in the next few weeks

All looks solid. My only comments to consider:

1. Not sure about that case (haven't heard anything about it)...its really your call.
2. For the motherboard if you can get a similarly speced and priced Z77 based Asus motherboard I would...just because its a newer design.
3. Graphics - buy a used 560Ti/570, or wait out on the new Nvidia graphics cards (should be released in the not too distant future).

Ok, thanks for the comment, but which motherboard would you pick and what's different with a Z77?

ASUS Maximus V Gene mATX LGA1155 Z77 DDR3 CrossFireX SLI 2PCI-E16 1PCI-E1 SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard - ASUS - Maximus V GENE This is probably overkill for my needs?

And for the 6xx series do you think there will be a big price increase?

a z77 will have full support for ivybridge and pcie 3 and all around just tweaks here and there and i thing native support for usb3 or is it sata3? (finally) from the chipset.
